Teen Patti Terms You Hear in the First Ten Minutes

You will hear a name for the opening payment, a name for staying face down, a name for looking, a name for the later call, a name for leaving, and a name for the comparison. Then someone will name your three. Trail beats everything. Real-cash play is 18 or older.

Ten small card and chip groups in an arc

These teen patti terms are what you hear before the first deal is over. This page is the spoken version, not the full dictionary. The longer list is the teen patti glossary. The timed orbit is the teen patti rules. This page is an independent guide, not a casino. It cannot reset a password or return chips. The tile wins if a label here is not the label printed in front of you.

The prices

The prices, in the order money moves

Prices come first in the teen patti terms a table actually uses. Someone names an amount. Everyone who wants to be dealt in puts in the same amount. That amount is the boot. It is not optional if you want your three, and it is not a tip. It is the same for the player on your left and the player who will raise you later.

You may leave your three face down. Players call that blind. Blind is cheaper on most tables. You are allowed to be curious later. You are not allowed to peek and then pretend you did not, so you can keep the cheap price. The moment you look, you are seen. Seen is usually double blind. If the face-down call is 10, you often put 20. Check the buttons before you peek. The ratio matters more than the example.

The later call, after that opening payment, is the chaal. It keeps you in. It is not a second boot. People mix the two because both are money going forward. One bought you the deal. The other buys you the right to stay. If you cannot say which payment you are making, ask before you tap. A timer is a bad teacher, and it will not wait.

Leaving

Leaving, and the comparison

Leaving and comparing have their own teen patti terms, and both are allowed. Leaving is a pack. Your three go back. What you already put in the middle stays in the middle. You do not get a refund for an earlier call. Packing is not rude. Staying in with nothing, because you dislike the word, is how the middle grows on your money.

When only two players remain, either can pay for a comparison. That comparison is the show. The better three takes the middle. While three or more are still in, you cannot force every holding onto the table. You may be able to ask the player before you for a private comparison, and only if both of you have looked. The loser of that private look leaves. Everyone else is not invited to see it. If the player before you is still face down, the request is often not legal. Read the button. Do not invent a courtesy the felt did not print.

They call your three

What they call your three

The ladder has teen patti terms that do not match poker. Memorise trail before the fancier names. Trail is three of a kind. Three aces is the best trail. Three twos is still a trail, and it still beats every category under it. Say that before you fall in love with a suited run.

A pure sequence is three in a row of one suit. A sequence is three in a row of mixed suits. A pure sequence and a sequence are different names, and both beat colour. Colour is three of one suit that are not in a row. Poker calls that a flush and ranks it above a straight. Here any sequence beats colour. A pair is two of a rank plus a spare. The spare breaks a tie between equal pairs. If nothing matches, you have high card: highest rank, then the next, then the last.

Colour is the trap in these teen patti terms for anyone who arrived from poker. Three hearts feel finished. If they are not in a row, they lose to seven-eight-nine of mixed suits. You will mis-call this once. Call it out loud on a kitchen table before you call it with money. Ace is high, except in ace-two-three, where the ace sits low. Suits do not outrank each other.

Ten minutes

Ten minutes, one deal

Four players. Boot of 2 from each. The middle starts at 8. You stay blind and call 2. The next player looks, becomes seen, and calls 4. Another player looks at a low pair and packs. The last player looks and raises the seen price to 8, which means your blind price to continue is 4. You look. You find a pair of kings and a seven. You are seen now, so you pay 8, not 4. Two of you remain. You pay for a show. Pair of kings beats queen-jack-nine, which is high card. You take the middle.

That is the whole first sitting in one orbit. Boot, blind, seen, chaal in the later calls, pack from the player who left, show at the end, and a pair that was enough because the other three were nothing matched. If the tile renames something, the tile beats these teen patti terms. A room called muflis flips the ladder. Your pair of kings would be a problem there, not a prize. Do not carry this ten-minute list into a tile you have not read.

This page is not a cashier, and the teen patti terms will not return chips or reset a password. The operator holds the balance. Under 18, do not sit a real-cash table just because the teen patti terms sound friendly. Do not borrow a number. Set a stop before the first boot. Chasing a loss is the sign the ten minutes should already be over. The first-sitting notes can walk you further. They are not a larger boot.

Short card for the plain

A short card for the plain words

The felt uses the names above. Friends sometimes switch to plainer speech. These six lines are that plainer speech, once each, so you can hear both dialects. Read the longer list later. These teen patti terms are the first ten minutes only. The full definitions sit on the glossary, and these teen patti terms are the spoken version.

If you blank on a name, point at the action instead of inventing a cousin's word. "The opening payment." "I have not looked." "I am leaving." "I want the comparison." The table will understand you. The fancy label can wait until the next deal. Pride is how people call a colour into a sequence and then feel cheated by a rule they could have said out loud.

If you remember one order, remember that teen patti terms for the ladder put trail first and colour under any run. The opening payment is equal. Looking costs more. Leaving is allowed. The comparison waits until the table is narrow enough.

Questions from the first ten minutes

Keep this

Say ten names, then sit

Boot, blind, seen, chaal, pack, show, trail, pure sequence, sequence, colour. Pair and high card will introduce themselves the moment your three are dull. If a cousin uses a different city word, ask which of these ten they mean. Then read the tile. The tile is allowed to be ruder than a cousin.

The teen patti glossary is the longer list. Teen patti rules are the parent page when a label and a ladder disagree.
