Read the Teen Patti Table Name Before You Post a Boot

Classic order is one room. The name on the table is the rulebook for that deal. Opening the wrong room and playing the other game is the expensive minute.

Direct answer

The tile tells you what wins

If the tile does not name a variation, trail is the best hand and the low hand loses. If it says Muflis, the worst hand wins. If it says AK47, aces, kings, fours, and sevens are wild. If it says 999, you are scoring toward nine, not comparing trails. Read that before the boot, not after you have raised.

The full list, including joker, lowest joker, and best of four, lives on the variations page. This note is the pause before you sit.

No extra word on the tile

Classic means six names

Strongest to weakest: trail, pure sequence, sequence, colour, pair, high card. Three of a kind sits on top. A colour, which poker calls a flush, sits below a sequence. People lose pots because they imported the other order.

Suits do not outrank each other. A king of spades and a king of hearts are the same rank. If you can say those six names and you have checked the stake cap, you are in the game the hand rankings page describes.

The reversed room

Muflis flips the chart

The worst hand takes the pot. A high card beats a trail. Players who "know teen patti" and sit here will raise three aces into a loss and feel cheated by a rule that was printed on the tile.

If you notice after the boot, you are in the hand under Muflis rules. Packing is allowed. Explaining classic order to the table is not a rules change. Next time, read the tile while you are still standing.

Wild cards and points

AK47, jokers, and 999 are different questions

AK47 means aces, kings, fours, and sevens can stand in for a card you need. A joker table does a similar job with different cards. The ranks are not interchangeable. "Probably the ace" is how a pair becomes a trail you did not know you had, or a trail you announced in your head and do not hold.

999 is not a ranking game at all. Cards carry points and you are trying to make the score that table describes, often nine or the closest allowed total. Saying "I have a colour" is the wrong sentence. If you cannot explain the score in one line, do not post the boot. Curiosity is cheaper on the variations page than in the pot.

Best of four, where it is offered, deals you an extra card and you choose three. That is a different hand from the three you were simply given. Do not play it from memory of a classic deal. The rules page is classic only, and it says so.

Before the boot

Ten seconds, in order

  1. Read the tile. Classic, Muflis, AK47, Joker, 999, or a name you do not know. An unknown name means you stand up.
  2. Read the stake cap. The chaal stops somewhere. If you cannot see the cap, you do not know what "one more raise" costs.
  3. Read the tie rule. Some tables split an identical show. Some award it to the player who asked. That line will be written down. It is not universal.
  4. Then post, or don't. The boot is the price of this rule set. It is not a deposit on a game you meant to find later in the lobby.

Questions on table names

What if the table tile has no variation name? +

Treat it as classic. Trail is the best hand, then pure sequence, sequence, colour, pair, and high card. A colour does not beat a sequence.

I sat at Muflis by mistake. Do I keep playing classic? +

Leave if the boot is not posted yet. If the deal has started, the table rule is the one on the tile: the worst hand wins. Raising a trail there is raising the losing hand.

Are AK47 and a joker table the same game? +

Both add wild cards. They do not use the same wild ranks. Read which cards are wild on that tile before you look.
